President’s Message – June 2019

With the spring show season ending and summer about to begin, it's now time to start looking ahead to the fall and PROCESS EXPO and what you can do to stand apart from the many hundreds of excellent suppliers on the show floor. We are continuing to work diligently to provide you with free tools to help you get your customers to the show and not only capture their attention, but other attendees to your booth as well. Let me share with you with a few items that I am sure you will want to embrace to ensure you have the best PROCESS EXPO ever.

First, if you haven't yet signed up for the VIP Guest Invites Program yet, I encourage you to do so today. This easy to use program will help you invite customers and prospects to the show by email and on social media and provide banners to spread the word of your presence at the show. If you are a little more “old school” let us know as we have brochures for all segments as well as a general brochure that we will gladly send you. In the past, exhibitors have shared these brochures with their staff to leave behind on sales calls, so don’t hesitate to contact Nicole McKenzie at [email protected] and specify which brochures you would like (general, bakery, beverage, dairy, meat, pet food, or prepared foods).

Second, we are now in the process of developing our industry sector brochures and floorplans that will be used onsite at PROCESS EXPO. These will help the customer identify you as a supplier to their segment. Of course, what will ensure that you will realize optimal show results is having equipment from that sector in your booth. Remember, attendees first and foremost come to the show to see stainless steel and your company's unique solutions.

Third, as for standing out on the show floor allow me to suggest a few PROCESS EXPO activities that we will be promoting heavily to our attendees. On Day 1 of the how we will be hosting the Innovations Showcase competition. I encourage you to submit your top products for this competition as they are sure to receive excellent exposure before, during, and after the show as we will be promoting this heavily on social media and in the Attendee Newsletter. There is no cost to submit an entry and the pre-show buzz you can generate is absolutely worth the effort.

Fourth, another program that we are promoting heavily to the attendee audience is the Augmented Reality Showcase. This demonstration area on the show floor will be a popular tour stop on the PROCESS EXPO Orientation Tour during which attendees will get to test the AR versions of our participant's technologies. I encourage you to look into this great opportunity. Converting those files to AR is not as costly as you think and participating in the Showcase could end up doubling the number of leads you get at this year's show. Lastly, I would be remiss to not inform you of the continuing great work being completed by the Women's Alliance Network. The Women's Alliance Networking Breakfast being held on Thursday, October 10th at PROCESS EXPO is open to all women in the food and beverage industry and will feature Suzanne Strassburger of Strassburger Steaks as the keynote speaker. Strassburger is well-known for her passion for promoting American beef products within the industry. The Women's Alliance Network is ecstatic to have Strassburger as their guest of honor as she captures many ideals the group holds. This will be an event that you will not want to miss.
