Our 2019 Annual Conference recently concluded at the spectacular La Cantera Spa & Resort, in San Antonino TX. I am happy to report that the Conference secured a record number of attendees, “first-timers” and sponsors, all of which greatly enhanced the three days of outstanding educational, networking, and social activities. This year's Conference also integrated our new Network structure into our program which was met with resounding praise and success. Likewise, we held our first all-inclusive attendee FPSA Banquet and Auction where we received the highest number of donations/contributions, and raised more money than ever before for our “GIVING BACK” efforts. Our initial survey results are in and reflect comments such as “…one of the best I've attended”, and “the conference and its sessions have been elevated to the next level.” While we are pleased with responses and reactions from the attendees, we will continue to evaluate and make improvements for next year's conference being held March 4th-6th at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, CA.
So what's next on the Association's agenda?
First, our Career Development Scholarship program, where our Foundation awards 15 five thousand dollar scholarships to full time employees of FPSA member companies as well as their immediate family members, is still seeking applications. Please note that all submissions must be completed by April 12th. Further, we are continuing our efforts to solicit applications for our MISA scholarship applications. Information for both programs can be found on our Giving Back page of the FPSA website.
Second, we continue to expand our recently launched JOB BOARD. Over 30 member companies have already listed career opportunities ranging from Field Service Technicians, to Customer Care Managers to Internships. We encourage all of you to take advantage of this free member-only service. The Job Board can be found on both the FPSA and highly visited PROCESS EXPO sites.
Third, while at the Conference we announced our 2019 Trend Reports that are being produced and rolled-out this year which include: Bakery Processing Equipment; Beverage Processing Equipment; Dairy Processing Equipment; Seafood Processing Equipment; Frozen Food Market; and, Blockchain in Agriculture Market. Lastly and of critical importance, our energies are centered and focused on ways to make PROCESS EXPO 19 better than ever. Of note are the following activities that you need to be apprised of: in response to exhibitor requests we have extended the signup period for the turnkey marketing program, lending you the services of the PROCESS EXPO marketing agency at a significantly reduced rate to create a professional marketing campaign; in addition to this you can also sign up today for the FREE services of VIP Guest Invites to easily create professional email marketing campaigns that you can send out of your own office to promote your presence at the show; while you are at it, think about signing up for the 2019 Innovations Showcase to really call attention to your product line at the show; and lastly, a reminder that it's never too early to start thinking about the equipment you'll be bringing to the show. Our attendance marketing campaign is now going full speed, setting an expectation of all of the different industry segments customers will see in the booths at PROCESS EXPO. Remember, the best way to get those customers into your booth is to bring the equipment that they are coming to see!
