Almost 55 percent of registered attendees indicated their primary business was in Food & Beverage – by far the biggest sector represented at the show. This was followed by pharmaceutical/medical at 8.7 percent, chemicals/other at 6.0 percent, cosmetic/personal care at 5.4 percent, with the balance consisting of several miscellaneous market segments.
New Focus in 2010
In 2010, PROCESS EXPO moves to a 100 percent food focus with their new co-location partners, the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). IFT’s Annual Meeting & Food Expo®, which includes an extensive scientific education program, draws thousands of food professionals from around the world. The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) is a global trade association serving suppliers in the food & beverage industry. The Association’s programs and services support member’s success by providing assistance in marketing their products and services, overall improvement in key business practices and many opportunities to network among industry colleagues. Programs and services to achieve these objectives include PROCESS EXPO (industry leading trade show), electronic media marketing, education, market intelligence, research, and advocation of critical industry issues such as food safety, sanitary design of equipment, and global trade. FPSA members are organized in vertical industry councils which focus on specific needs and concerns that are unique to each industry sector.
