McLean, VA – The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced that going into the member round of space selection for PROCESS EXPO® 2011, new member recruitment is already 17% over total recruitment for 2009.
“Clearly, suppliers are excited about the 2011 tradeshow and are joining in record numbers to select space ahead of non-members,” said Scott Scriven, Chairman of FPSA and President of Weber Inc. “As a supplier-run organization, FPSA’s programs are in tune with what suppliers need to be more successful in their business. One example of this is moving PROCESS EXPO to a biennial show cycle which reduces costs for suppliers and customers. With the show taking place every two years, and being held in Chicago, exhibitors have time to truly spotlight innovations in their technology and maximize their marketing investment,” continued Mr. Scriven.
In addition, growth in FPSA membership is coming from all industry sectors. “FPSA has long been a horizontal organization,” said FPSA President & CEO David Seckman. “Our members sell to all segments of the food industry including beverage, bakery, dairy, fruit & vegetable, confectionary and meat. One of the key benefits they derive from membership is that FPSA programs draw processors with significant cross-over potential for business. The typical attendee at PROCESS EXPO for example, might be interested in solutions from the baking, dairy, meat, and fruit & vegetable sectors, all for the same product. As a member of FPSA, they are reaching an audience they might not see as a member of another organization.”
