Women’s Council Announces Support of San Antonio Food Bank with March 19 Event

The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) is please to announce the slate of speakers for the bakery breakout sessions for the 2019 FPSA Annual Conference taking place March 19-21 at the La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas.

The bakery track will feature Sabrina HoSang Jordan, CEO of Caribbean Food Delights, Stephen Dus, Director of R&D at Tyson Foods, and Wayne Sellers, President & CEO of CBM Global, Inc. These distinguished speakers will address Conference attendees in breakout sessions, addressing challenges in their businesses with regards to operations and capital equipment.

“This is a great slate of speakers and our Council members are looking forward to hearing from each one of them,” said Tony Graves, Chair of the FPSA Bakery Council and Project Manager at The Dennis Group. “Between Jamaican patties, a prominent pizza and pasta processor and one of the largest CPG firms in the world with Tyson Foods, this program offers a tremendous variety of perspectives from which to look at our industry and learn.”

Additionally, the FPSA Women’s Council announced that as part of the 2019 Annual Conference it will host an afternoon trip on Tuesday, March 19th to volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank. The goal of this event, which has already drawn a number of Conference registrants to sign up, is to support the Food Bank in its efforts to serve more than 58,000 individuals each week.

“The Women’s Council looks forward to this opportunity to network and come together for this worthwhile organization and expand our giving back efforts to the local community,” said Mary George, Co-Chair of the Women’s Council. “This event is open to all Conference attendees, not just members of the Women’s Council and we’re gratified to see a strong response already even though registration has only been open for a few short weeks.”

Registration for the 2019 FPSA Annual Conference is now open on-line at www.fpsa.org. The member rate for registration is $1,050 for FPSA members and $1,300 for non-members. In addition, there is a promotional rate of $595 for first time attendees of the Women’s Council, the Young Professionals Group or of members of the new FPSA Networks.
