Special Announcement
FPSA is proud to announce, in coordination with IFT a special addition to the program at the 2010 FPSA Conference titled Food Safety Complexities and Opportunities. On Friday March 12th, Dr. Robert Gravani, Professor of Food Science and Director of the National Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Program at Cornell University will deliver a lively discussion on the ways in which equipment design can aid in the development of a safer food supply. Using case studies, Dr. Gravani will show the impact that poor equipment and plant design had on some notable outbreaks of foodborne illness and discuss opportunities to redesign equipment to limit the potential intentional introduction of contaminants.
Joining the other twenty five speakers at this year’s Conference, Dr. Gravani adds to what was already FPSA’s strongest program to date. For a full list of this year’s speakers and to register go to www.fpsa.org/2010-conference-speakers
Hotel Deadline Extended
In order to provide FPSA members with more time to fit the FPSA Conference into their busy schedules, we have worked with the Marriott to extend the hotel reservation deadline until Friday, February 12th.
Conference attendees have two lodging options for the event. FPSA has negotiated discounted rates at the J.W. Marriott ($299) and next door at the Marriott Casamagna ($242) in order to provide attendees with different price options. To book a reservation in either hotel, call (888) 813-2776 and refer to the 2010 FPSA Conference.
