The application period for the 2014 MISA Scholarships is now closed. Winners will be selected and announced by the end of June.
The MISA Foundation Scholarship Fund was formed in March of 1989 by the Meat Industry Suppliers Alliance (MISA). The fund grew to include seven $10,000 scholarships awarded annually. The seven $10,000 scholarships are awarded to outstanding students in the meat sciences field.
This is to encourage and support those interested in pursuing careers within the meat industry or engineering field. Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of the following criteria: academic performance, commitment to a career in the meat industry or engineering field as well as potential for success.
$10,000 MISA Scholarship: Applicants must be at least sophomore level undergraduate students in the meat sciences, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
All candidates must be citizens of the U.S. or Canada.
